What I Did

  • Led community management for 8+ brands concurrently; account industries varied from breweries to travel channels to pediatric cancer foundations

  • Managed branded, authentic engagement with target audiences and owned responses to all direct messages, comments, reviews, and brand mentions

  • Strategically planned content calendar based on performance analytics and client goals

  • Sourced and organized user generated content

  • Led copywriting and copyediting while overseeing a team of 6 copywriters

  • Assembled monthly analytical reports from Later as well as in-platform analytics tools like Facebook and Instagram Insights to provide strategic recommendations

  • Monitored tags, mentions, competitors and market changes and developments for clients, and processed client feedback

  • Created graphics in Adobe for internal and client use; created branded Canva templates for clients to easily share reviews, new blog posts, or event announcements

 

What I learned

  • If you’re trying to make your brand speak to everyone, you’ll end up speaking to no one; define your audience, solidify your brand voice, and build a following of quality, not quantity

  • How to be scrappy on a small team; openness to jumping in and learning a new skill expands your knowledge and makes you resilient

  • You determine your definition of success

  • Growth is an equal mix of refining your talents, utilizing your network, and being ballsy
