What I did
A highly organized and disciplined professional who serves as a champion of the Great Rivers Greenway brand and reputation internally and externally, the role is a mix of a Public Information Officer and a more traditional communications and marketing account manager, all in service to our goals to be accountable, transparent and responsive to our community.
Manage intake of internal and external requests by handling initial communication to assemble information, collaborating with relevant staff to set or understand the strategy for the project/task, finding resources and delegating the project to staff, vendors, volunteers or self, including creating and maintaining systems for developing, tracking and storing materials, resources, reporting on progress and troubleshooting issues as they arise, tracking progress, goals, timelines, budgets for effective delivery, and proactively manage brand, information messaging, owned platforms, and materials to ensure continual updates and efficacy.
Serve as a hub for information on all projects, greenway closures or repairs, etc. by maintaining public records such as the website as well as internal dashboards for other staff members and departments, handle customer service inquiries from email, phone calls, social media or other channels.
Serve as a liaison to Team Build by assisting with plan reviews, strategy on standards or exceptions for maps, signage, environmental graphics; collaborate with Team Sustain to problem solve and communicate closures, detours or other conditions through digital updates, temporary or permanent signage or other methods; support Team Promote by leading on the strategy and implementation of the annual Greenway Impacts report, plus option to work on other projects as qualified and desired, such as marketing and advertising strategy, website and search engine optimization efforts, public relations, research, fundraising efforts, and more.
